Di Vino opened in 2008 as the second chapter in Harold Sacreste’s Italian gastronomy story. Perched on Place de Mexico near Trocadéro with views of the Eiffel Tower from the three-sided terrace, this is a restaurant designed around a philosophy: discover the greatest Italian wines. The space announces itself in refined contemporary style. Gray and brown with colors that surprise. Modern and elegant without performing elegance. The terrace, when the weather permits, becomes the seat of choice, views of Paris spreading before you while you eat.
The wine program commands attention first. One hundred ten references spanning every Italian terroir: Veneto, Piedmont, Friuli, Tuscany, Puglia, Campania, Sardinia, Sicily, Calabria. A sommelier trained in the language of wine guides you through them. For the well-heeled, a special reserve of grand crus sits waiting. The food follows the same Italian logic. Vitello tonato, mozzarella Burratina, tuna carpaccio with shrimp. Risotto with lobster, with black truffle, with clams and squid ink. Handmade fresh pasta in carbonara fashion, cannelloni with shrimp, lasagna with veal ragout, spaghetti topped with truffle and lobster. Grilled fish, chicken with preserved lemons and olive oil purée. Saltimbocca alla romana. The desserts include tiramisu, strawberry soup with red wine, island vanilla panacotta with varied macarons.
The service arrives genuinely friendly and the welcome feels warm. This is Italian cuisine elevated through wine culture, a restaurant where the bottles matter as much as what arrives on the plate. Perfect for romantic dinners and business lunches alike. Open Monday to Saturday, closed Sunday.
