Boarding a barge moored on the Seine below the legendary Pont Alexandre III, Riviera Fuga feels like an escape from Paris while remaining in its heart. The décor announces 1970s yacht club energy, bright yellow stripes, rope columns, sea-blue lacquer. The bar sits as sculptural avocat shape. The decorator found Mediterranean universe in his antiquaire past, then layered in Japanesque touches through maximalist tatami patterns. The surrounding terraces offer unobstructed views of the Seine and its mythic bridges. The location sits meters from Invalides esplanade, at the feet of Grand Palais.
The menu celebrates fusion cuisine where Italian tradition meets Japanese precision without conflict. Cannoli of beef crudo, red yuzu kosho, grilled shiitake arriving as delicate balance of heat and umami. Fried calamari, mayo gomadare, tomato condiment, cuttlefish ink, katsuobushi arriving with textural joy. Sashimi of seriole, balsamic oil, tomato ponzu, datterino compote arriving with clean, precise flavors. Taglioni nero in eel dashi, nori jam, eel lacquered in teriyaki arriving as homage to umami. Saffron arancini. Fresh pasta arriving properly prepared. Desserts including babá au sake, brioche soaked in sake, sudachi, puffed rice arriving as proper finale. The bar crafts cocktails with intention.
Open continuously Monday through Sunday from noon until midnight, the restaurant welcomes long summer lunches, contemplative afternoons, golden-hour apéritifs, festive dinners. Terraces surround the barge. Dogs welcome. This is dining that becomes escape, where the combination of water, views, and imaginative cuisine transports diners to somewhere more beautiful than where they started. Romantic atmosphere ideal for couples or festive gatherings equally.
