Full-Day Versailles Tour with Guided Morning and Afternoon Visits (20 Pax Maximum)

This Full-Day Versailles Tour offers an immersive and enriching experience, combining expert-guided visits to the Palace of Versailles, the Trianon Palaces, and Marie-Antoinette’s Hamlet. Enjoy the grandeur of one of the world’s most famous royal estates with a licensed guide leading you through its most iconic landmarks. Every moment of the day is thoughtfully structured to maximize your understanding of Versailles’ history, art, and architecture, leaving no stone unturned.

With a maximum of 20 people per group, you’ll receive personal attention throughout the day, ensuring a more intimate and thorough experience. From the magnificence of the Palace to the serenity of the Trianon Palaces and the Queen’s Hamlet, you will be guided every step of the way, gaining deep insights into the royal lifestyle and the stories that shaped Versailles.

Morning: Guided Tour of the Palace and Gardens (2.5 hours)

Your day will begin with a 2.5-hour guided tour of the Palace of Versailles, one of the most iconic and historically significant palaces in Europe. Your guide will take you through the King’s Apartments, the grand Hall of Mirrors, the Throne Room, and other magnificent rooms. Learn about the history of the French monarchy, the life of Louis XIV, and the royal court that once resided here. Discover the grandeur that defined the era and the events that shaped the future of France.

Afterward, your guide will lead you through the Gardens of Versailles, where you will marvel at the meticulously manicured lawns, intricate fountains, and sculptural masterpieces. Your guide will share the history of the gardens and their creator, André Le Nôtre, and provide fascinating details about the royal ceremonies and festivals that once took place here.

Lunch Break (1 – 1.5 hours)

Following the morning tour, enjoy a 1 to 1.5-hour lunch break at one of the Versailles estate’s delightful restaurants or cafés. Here, you can enjoy a traditional French meal or something more casual, before continuing your day. Lunch is not included in the tour, but your guide can recommend places for you to enjoy your break.

Afternoon: Guided Tour of the Trianon Palaces and Marie-Antoinette’s Hamlet (1.5 hours)

In the afternoon, you will rejoin your guide for a 1.5-hour guided visit to the Grand Trianon and Petit Trianon. These smaller palaces were created as peaceful retreats for French royalty, away from the formalities of court life. Learn about the fascinating history of these places and how Louis XIV and Marie-Antoinette used them to escape the pressures of the palace. The Grand Trianon, with its elegant architecture and beautiful gardens, and the Petit Trianon, associated with Marie-Antoinette, provide a more intimate glimpse into royal life.

Next, you will visit Marie-Antoinette’s Hameau, or Queen’s Hamlet, a charming and rustic retreat created for the queen, where she could live out her fantasy of a simple, pastoral life. Your guide will explain the significance of the Hameau and share the story of how Marie-Antoinette used this space to escape the rigors of the royal court.
